General Information: Quick to mature and slow to bolt, Kohlrabi grows very uniformly sized, 5.5-oz. (150-g), green-skinned edible bulbs nestled below dark green, slightly broad leaves.
This versatile variety can be boiled, stir-fried in strips, grated for salads or eaten raw like a carrot, and is a wonderful source of dietary fiber, vitamins C and B6, and minerals.
Garden tip: Use the bulbs when they are the size of an apple, before they become hard and woody.
You can also harvest at “baby” size.
Store from Fall crop in a cool, frost-free place for Winter use.
